Sermon: Three Great Words from the Lord Today
By Pastor Noah W. Reid, Jr.

v.13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Many people are hopeless in the world today. Hopelesness may come in many forms. You may see hopelessness in our economy, homeless people, rising cost of gas and the endless war. For some, despair for people is everywhere.

The God of hope says we can abound, we can overcome, if we believe in hope. We can face the future with hope. Life with Christ is endless hope. Life without Christ is hopelessness.

God desires to fill us with joy as he works his purpose through us. Real joy is thankfulness to who God is. The God of hope also fills us with peace.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Jesus wants to bring peace and joy into our lives. The gift of peace comes through faith in Jesus Christ. As Christians we believe and trust in God's goodness and faith that sustains us.

Our response to God is our genuine faith in him.
